Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers completely destroyed a narrative that recently started about his plans for the 2023 season.
The feeling so far is that there are three scenarios that could go down regarding Rodgers this offseason. Rodgers returns to Green Bay, Rodgers retires, The Packers trade Rodgers
Rodgers on the notion that he won’t retire in the same offseason as Tom Brady: “The idea that I wouldn’t want to share a stage (at the Hall of Fame) with Tom Brady and J.J. Watt I think is ridiculous.”

When Tom Brady announced his retirement last week, many folks (including myself) felt like it guaranteed that Rodgers wouldn’t retire this offseason. The logic behind that feeling was that Rodgers wouldn’t want to enter the Hall of Fame the same year as Brady.
On Tuesday, during his weekly appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show”, Rodgers suggested that Brady retiring having an impact on his decision this offseason is nonsense.
Rodgers also reminded people that he’s still under contract with the Packers, so fans of other teams “recruiting” him doesn’t make a lot of sense right now.
As usual, Rodgers said a lot of words without actually revealing too much. Essentially, he created even more confusion on Tuesday by reinforcing that every option, including retirement, is still on the table. Rodgers added that he’s going to go on a four-day “isolation retreat” to gather his thoughts and gain some clarity on his future.
It sounds like it will be at least another week before we hear any final decision from Rodgers.
