Earlier this week the Kansas City Chiefs made a somewhat mind-boggling move. You may remember, but they let go of their best special teams guy Chris Lammons.
A lot of people weren’t exactly sure why they did it, but there was speculation.
On Wednesday, Andy Reid confirmed the Chiefs could be making a move soon, and it only makes sense why they did what they did with Lammons.
For a while now both Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jody Fortson have been out. In order for them to come back on the active roster, the Chiefs would have to create roster space.
“There’s a chance. Either one, maybe more Fortson, but either one.”
Reid said on CEH or Fortson getting activated.#ChiefsKingdom

We think that is why they did what they did.
Fortson or Edwards-Helaire could be elevated. But, I think most of us would rather it be Fortson, considering the level that Isiah Pacheco is playing at right now.
The Chiefs could have some reinforcements come soon, and they will need whatever they can get as they get ready for the Bengals.
