Cincinnati Bengals will be without playmaker on Sunday

The Cincinnati Bengals will be taking on the Tennessee Titans this Sunday on the road this Sunday.

The game will serve as a rematch for last season’s intense Divisional Round playoff showdown between the two teams.

The Bengals will be shorthanded entering this game though. Head coach Zac Taylor confirmed on Friday that running back Joe Mixon is out for this week with a concussion.

Mixon has been huge for the Bengals lately 6 yards per rush attempt over the last two games and has scored five touchdowns (all against the Carolina Panthers in Week 9).

That means Cincinnati will be hoping running back Samaje Perine steps up again after finishing last week’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers with three receiving touchdowns.

As for Ja’Marr Chase, his official game status for Sunday is questionable. The Bengals’ star wide receiver was limited in practice throughout the week and there’s optimism for him to play.

His return on offense would go a long way as the team could use him against the ninth-best pass defense per DVOA.

On defense, safety Dax Hill is expected to play.

The Bengals are about to enter the toughest slate of the season starting with the Titans.

With a seat in the playoffs right now, they know they control their own destiny yet have little room for error.
