The Kansas City Chiefs have a pretty different team now than what they had during the Super Bowl in 2020. You may remember, but after they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they did a complete offensive line revamp, went and signed two starters up front and drafted two more.
Two years later, and they have one of the best offensive lines in football, in my opinion. Not only are they keeping Patrick Mahomes from getting hit, but they are also keeping the entire pocket clean, which, as a result, is making Mahomes play better. Look at this stat that shows that even more.

According to Pro Football Focus, Mahomes is the best quarterback in the league when he has a clean pocket and time to throw.
It is so noticeable how much better this offensive line is compared to the one before last season. Which brings me to the point that in 2021, Brett Veach made a very important decision.
That decision to revamp the entire offensive line was one of the better decisions made over the years that Mahomes has been with the Chiefs.
Not only has he not been hit as much, but he has also had time to throw the ball, and the run game has been better, at times anyways.
That move means nothing though if the Chiefs don’t continue to win Super Bowls, and so far, they haven’t won one with this new offensive line.
Nonetheless, Mahomes is killing it with a clean pocket, which is a testament to how well both are performing.
