Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur didn’t have a lot of answers for what went wrong in the 27-10 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday, but he did say something that should be concerning to fans.
When asked about the team’s offensive woes, LaFleur told reporters that Green Bay is in a “bad predicament”. That doesn’t exactly sound encouraging.
Matt LaFleur on the offense: “We’re in a pretty bad predicament right now.”

The Packers have scored 12 or fewer points in four of their games this season. That’s not something that playoff teams do….almost ever.
And the bad thing is that Green Bay has no answers. Matt LaFleur doesn’t understand why the Packers’ offensive approach, which hasn’t been altered since last season, isn’t working anymore.
If you’re a Packers fan, you expect the head coach to have answers, to know what’s wrong. Matt LaFleur, though, isn’t giving Green Bay fans any reasons to feel confident about the season moving forward.
This is starting to feel like a lost season for the Packers. And that’s not how Green Bay fans envisioned spending one of the final seasons of Aaron Rodgers’ career (could be his last if things keep going this way).
The Packers were supposed to send Rodgers into the sunset with a Super Bowl win. They were supposed to finally get back to the big game after a decade of frustration.
Instead, Green Bay is on track to lose the division. And LaFleur has no idea why.
That doesn’t exactly inspire confidence for Packers fans.
