While the 2022 season wasn’t as entertaining for the New Orleans Saints and the fans watching, the offseason has been a bit more entertaining than I think most expected it to be.
The Saints just barely missed the playoffs, Alvin Kamara didn’t have the season we hoped for, and Michael Thomas didn’t play really at all.
The Saints dealt with injuries all season long and had more than maybe any other team in the league.
Then, on top of that, they had two mediocre, and sometimes below that level, quarterbacks. The Saints season wasn’t entertaining really.
Sure, they had some games like the one against the Las Vegas Raiders that I’m sure you could say was fun to watch, but overall 2022 was quite disappointing.
On Thursday though, when the red carpet rolled out for NFL Honors, one Saints player did not let us down, in having maybe the most memorable moment from the show.
Cam Jordan is primetime, no scratch that. He is must-watch TV.
If you didn’t watch on Thursday, Jordan was found stealing the spotlight from Kelly Clarkson, as he took the microphone, and got up to sing a song.
But, it wasn’t just any song, it was a song dedicated to Sean Payton, the former New Orleans Saints head coach who is now heading to Denver.
I don’t think anyone expected Jordan to be in the spotlight, because of his singing abilities?
Some may not agree, but in my opinion, the offseason has been much more entertaining for the Saints so far. Oh, did I mention that there is also some drama with who the Saints’ next quarterback will be?
