As difficult as the year 2020 has turned out so far for everyone, this family had already been through more than anyone could bear back in January, well before the coronavirus hit American shores.
Vanessa Bryant marked her first Easter weekend since the tragic deaths of her husband Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna in a helicopter crash on January 26th.
To get into the Easter spirit, Vanessa, 37, posted a sweet video to her feed, in which her gorgeous three-year-old daughter Bianka is seen in pink pajamas with a white heart pattern,
hammering away at a giant decorative egg on the floor. Nearby, Vanessa’s adorable nine-month-old Capri crawls up to see what’s going on.
At the start of the clip, Bianka is trying to break into the large blue Easter egg decorated with daisies, while protecting herself with a pair of giant polka-dotted glasses — as Capri watches,
blinking as the hammering sound continues. ‘I’ll help you,’ Bryant offers, as she takes the small wooden hammer to help her daughter break the eggshell.
‘Oh look! There are treats inside — let’s see what’s in there,’ the mother of four adds, as baby Capri smiles luminously.
‘Is that funny Koko Bean? Is that so cute?’ Vanessa coos to her baby, who wears a cute white onesie decorated with a Burberry teddy bear along with a red bow in her dark ringlets.
Soon, mom Vanessa breaks into the egg, removing all the confetti paper stuffing inside, which Capri begins to play with.
Then, the ‘treats’ are found, with Vanessa marveling, ‘Look — there’s chocolate!’ Bianka repeats the word ‘chocolate’ as best as she can, before asking her mother sweetly, ‘Momma, can I eat it?’
Vanessa answers affectionately, ‘Yeah –– baby bites though.’ ‘Easter Treats! Bianka & Capri,’ she captioned the video.
Understandably, Vanessa has been using this time at home to surround herself with family, which also includes her eldest daughter Natalia, 17.
Early last month, Vanessa posted a stunning picture of the 5ft10in teen, who posed in front of a gorgeous mural of her late father and sister for the occasion of her winter formal.
Bryant has of course also used her social media accounts to continue to commemorate her fallen family members, celebrating Kobe’s posthumous accomplishments which have included being inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, as well as the publication of his book The Wizenard Series: Season One.
